Q
Since the dead are judged for their works at the Great White throne, can one assume that all of their works are weighed, as on a balance? If so, can one infer that there are “degrees” of Hell?
A
Jesus said the only work God requires of us is to believe in the one He sent (John 6:28-28). He also said that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). He rejected even those who drove out demons and did miracles in His name, because they weren’t His (Matt. 7:21). From these statements we can reasonably conclude that since God is just the only work on which the dead can be judged is the work He requires, that they believe in the one He sent.
