I live in a state that does not allow same sex marriages. Experts predict the highest courts will soon rule this and other such laws illegal making these marriages legal across the land. This would be consistent with the desires of our highest elected officials but contrary to God’s laws, obviously.Many Christian leaders are saying
this would bring God’s judgment on the land. Do you believe this will happen and if so what form might the judgment take, consistent with scripture?
I believe America is already being judged, and this judgment will get progressively more severe as we get further into the end times. As one of the countries to which God’s people have been scattered, America will be completely destroyed in accordance with Jeremiah 30:11. The details of America’s judgment are contained in the Book of Revelation, chapters 6-19.
But America is not the Church and the Church is not America. The Church has no homeland on Earth, since our citizenship is in Heaven (Phil 3:20). Before visiting His wrath upon America, God has promised to take His Church to our heavenly home, so we will be absent from both the time and place of the judgment (1 Thes. 1:10).
