Satan, his minions and followers will all end up in the lake of fire forever and ever. Assuming that spiritual beings will not burn up as flesh and bone bodies would this sounds absolutely terrible.
A thought came to me when I came to Rev. 21:5. “See I make all things new.” There will be a new heaven and a new earth, the old will disappear in fire.
As hell and Satan were part of the current creation which will be destroyed and the new creation will be perfect I assume that there cannot be a hell or anything evil in it. So my question is – will hell and its contents end at the end of the 1000 years as that creation will then end?
In Rev. 21:5 God is talking about restoring the creation to the way it was when Adam was created. This is called the renewal of all things in Matt. 19:28 and the time when God restores everything in Acts 3:21, and will take place at the beginning of the Millennium.
No one knows how things will change at the end of the Millennium but Rev. 20:10 tells us that the devil, the beast, and the false prophet will be tormented in the lake of fire forever. The unbelieving dead will remain in Hell until the end of the Millennium and will then death and hell will be thrown into lake of fire as well (Rev. 20:14).
