Lebanon and the cedars of Lebanon are spoken of throughout the Bible. Will it continue to keep its name in the future–when Israel gets its original area given to Abraham or as when David was king–during the 1,000 year kingdom reign?

The area called Lebanon today was originally known as Phoenicia, and was part of the land God promised to Abraham (Genesis 15:17-21). According to Ezekiel 47:15-17 and Ezekiel 48:1 this land will once more be part of Israel during the Millennium and will no longer be called either Lebanon or Phoenicia. Instead it will be given to the descendants of Dan, one of the sons of Jacob.
