Ezekiel 39:6 says “I will send fire on Magog and those who live in safety in the coast lands and they will know that I am the Lord.” Who are the people who live in safety in the coast lands?

A search of coast lands in the Bible shows that Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel, who were all alive at the same time, referred to lands west of Israel in that way. In addition to Ezekiel, Jeremiah 25:22 speaks of coast lands across the sea (Mediterranean), Jeremiah 31:10 refers to distant coast lands, and Daniel 11:30 mentions western coast lands. These are most often interpreted as referring to Europe, and some even say Ezekiel was talking about the US.
