Q
I have two questions….what does the Bible say about enduring a bad boss and is it appropriate to pray for their removal and replacement with a Godly boss? Thanks so much for all you do!
A
The Bible says to do your work as if you’re doing it for the Lord and not for man (Colossians 3:23-24). Adopting this view makes it much easier to work for a difficult boss because it takes him or her out of the equation.
As for praying for a better boss, I think it would be more productive to pray that the Lord would change your current one. You know this would be consistent with His will for your boss (2 Peter 3:9), and it would also help you rid yourself of any bitterness and anger toward him (Ephes. 4:31).
