Revelation 3:21 says to him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me on my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Does this mean that there will be some that will go in the rapture out of the Laodicean church? I have mostly thought that none of the apostate church would receive his request, to hear his voice and open the door. Every other church was given the option to overcome.
Rev. 3:20 shows the Lord at the door of the Laodicean Church, knocking. He says if anyone hears His voice and opens the door He’ll come in and they’ll eat together. I believe this is symbolic of sharing a covenant meal and indicates some will be saved out of the apostate church. The overcomers of Rev. 3:21 are those who hear and respond to His knocking. The fact that they’ll sit with Him on His throne indicates this will happen before the rapture since only the Church will share the Lord’s throne. As it is in all the letters, the promise to the overcomers of Laodicea is a personal one, and not to the group at large. Most of the Laodicean church will be left behind.
