Seeking The Kingdom Of God

Q

What does seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness mean? I am struggling with the true meaning of this statement and how it applies to everyday life. Is it simply seeking the Lords will in daily living or is it more than that? I never think of myself as righteous no matter how much I could try to be. My salvation is through God’s Grace alone which is a gift that can never be earned.

A

In John 3:3 Jesus said no one could see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again. In Romans 3:22 Paul wrote that God’s righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Therefore seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness means becoming born again by believing Jesus died for all our sins and accepting by faith that we’re forgiven. We don’t become righteous because of what we do, we have been made righteous because of what we believe.
