My ex-husband and I were never remarried. We are considering getting back together. Is it a sin to have sex before remarrying? Are we still married in God’s eyes?

I gather that you have been divorced. In that case the marriage was dissolved and it’s as if you’re both single again. The Bible defines sex outside of marriage as a sin. Keeping yourselves pure until you’re actually married again in the eyes of the Lord will allow Him to bless your marriage and will add strength to your vows.
