Q. Every morning when I read my daily Scriptures … I always read Ephesians 6:10-20 to put on the armor of God before I start my day. I think it is a great reading for all to read to protect themselves with before starting the day.
My question is regarding Ephesians 6:12 where it says ” … against spiritual wickedness in high places.” I also have read versions where it states “heavenly places”.
The question is where is “spiritual wickedness” in “high” or “heavenly” places? May God forgive me but where would evil lurk in “high” or “heavenly places”?
A. The phrase spiritual wickedness in high places refers to Satan and his demonic horde who inhabit the spiritual realm. This is a world unseen by us that exists in our midst. These spirit beings are not friendly toward us and will use every opportunity they can find to torment us. Sometimes they plant lies in our minds that contradict the truth we learn from God. Paul said we have divine weapons to take these thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ (2 Cor. 10:3-5).
