I am so grateful for your teaching, I am on this site reading every day. My question is, how can I best explain to someone, what is the Kingdom of God?
The Kingdom of God comes in two phases. The first one is what we call the Church, the body of born again believers from every people and nation who believed that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. It began on Pentecost, just after the Lord’s resurrection. Some call this the invisible kingdom because we can’t really see it (Luke 17:21). It’s hidden in our hearts and only the Lord knows for certain who belongs.
The second phase will begin when Jesus returns to set up a literal Kingdom on Earth and reigns here as King of the whole Earth (Zechariah 14:9). According to Daniel 2:44 this kingdom will never be destroyed or left to another people, but will endure forever.
