Once again you have stated that the Jewish people will return to the Old Covenant and sacrifice animals in the temple. I do agree that they will during the first half of Daniel’s 70th week, but don’t agree that those who accept Jesus as their Messiah and survive unto the Millennium will continue in that ritual. I believe that a new covenant will be made between God and man that will not include blood sacrifice. Jesus made the ultimate blood sacrifice for all pre- and post- Rapture believers.
You are correct in saying that Israel will reinstate Old Covenant worship at the beginning of Daniel’s 70th Week and will receive the New Covenant later. Jeremiah 31:31-34 is a prophecy of this. I believe it will happen at the beginning of the millennium.
But what most people don’t realize is that Israel’s New Covenant will not be like the one we enjoy. Ezekiel 40-48 describes life in Israel at the beginning of the Millennium. This description includes the Millennial Temple with its rooms and furnishings. There will be rooms for preparing the animal sacrifices (Ezekiel 40:38-43) and rooms where the priests will eat the offerings (Ezekiel 42:13). In Ezekiel 43:18-27 regulations for sacrificing various offerings are discussed. Offerings and holy days are also discussed in Ezekiel 45:13-25, and throughout Ezekiel 46. Among them is the daily offering of a year old lamb for the sins of the people (Ezekiel 46:13-15). The offerings will continue through out the 1,000 year Kingdom Age.
This description is so different from Israel’s history that it could not be about the Old Covenant. It could only be describing Israel’s New Covenant relationship with God.
