I just want to make sure I am on the right track. In Revelation 6, the seal judgements, I see it as 7 scrolls sealed with 7 seals. When the first seal is opened then the first judgments are described –right? The second seal is broken and the judgments described. etc.
You’re pretty close. According to Rev. 5:1-7 there is a single scroll sealed with seven seals, which the Father will hand to the Son. As each of the first 6 seals is opened we are given additional detail of the opening events of the time of God’s wrath.
With the first seal the anti-Christ is revealed with his intention of world conquest. The second seal brings war. The third one shows runaway inflation and food shortages. With the fourth seal, death and pestilence are added. The fifth seal reveals the first group of tribulation martyrs in Heaven. The sixth seal brings a great earthquake, with the sun going dark, and a blood moon appears. People on Earth will recognize that God’s wrath has come (Rev. 6:1-17). The opening of the seventh seal brings the seven trumpet judgments (Rev. 8:1-2).
