Q
The Son of God became the Son of Man. I know Jesus became a man. But why was He called the Son of Man? Please help me understand the meaning of this term.
A
The phrase “son of man” simply means someone who is born into mankind. It appears 192 times in both the Old and New Testaments in reference to numerous people in addition to Jesus. For example, God addressed Ezekiel by that phrase throughout the Book of Ezekiel. Therefore it seems logical to assume that Jesus called Himself the Son of Man because He was born into mankind.
