I was recently talking to someone I know about Christianity and my friend said to me that he can’t keep up with all these made up things from Santa Claus to the Easter bunny and even the tooth fairy. How do I respond to this? How can I show Jesus to be the one true thing in all this?
By equating Jesus with Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and “other made up things” this man was just saying he didn’t want to hear about it. It’s his choice and there are many others who do want to hear about Jesus. Leave him alone and go talk to someone else.
In Matt. 10:14 Jesus said, “If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.”
Our job is just to share the Gospel, it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to convict people of their sins (John 16:8).
