Q. Awhile back I was reading something about in Genesis when God created water above the expanse of the sky. What this article was saying is that this was the creation of the water cycle (i.e. clouds). This seems so make sense and so does the Water Vapor Canopy. This isn’t an important issue worth arguing about but I’m just curious if you have anything against the water above the expanse being the creation of the water cycle.
A. I have never heard the opinion that the water canopy above the atmosphere was just clouds. Typically clouds fly in the lower atmosphere don’t they? Don’t airplanes fly above them? And yet Genesis 1:6-8 says the atmosphere separated the waters above from the waters below. I don’t think the Lord intended for us to think of the water canopy as the clouds.
