Matt. 27:52-53 says “The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went to into the holy city and appeared to many people.” What do you think happened after the resurrected saints appeared to people in the holy city ? Were they taken later to Heaven?
Also 1 Cor. 15:44 says, “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.” I have hard time understanding the meaning of “spiritual”, for the “spiritual” is unseen.
The people who came out of their tombs with Jesus are now in heaven with Him. They were the fulfillment of the wave offering from the Feast of First Fruits (Lev. 23:9-11), a sample of the harvest.
As for 1 Cor. 15:44 maybe it’ll be easier if you read it to say, “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a supernatural body.” The meaning is the same but you won’t trip over the word “spiritual.” Strong’s concordance describes the spiritual body as “a being higher than man but inferior to God.”
