Q
I am currently reading your book (7 things you have to know to understand end times prophecy) and on page 19 you quote Acts 15:13-18. My question is about the word “remnant” in that passage. Does this word refer to the Jewish people? And if it does here in this verse, does it always to the Jewish people? Is that word ever used for the Gentiles?
A
The literal meaning of the Greek word translated remnant in Acts 15:17 is residue. It’s the only time this word is used in the Greek text of the New Testament. It refers to all the people remaining on Earth after Jesus takes the Church, whether Jew or Gentile. Acts 15:16-18 says after the rapture God will provide mankind with one last chance to come to the Lord for salvation before the Second Coming.
