Why Does God Pour Out His Wrath Again?

Q

I believe that God’s punishment for all our sins, past, present and future, was put on Jesus at the Cross. Then, why would God pour out His wrath again in the end times judgments that begin in Revelation 6?

A

God’s wrath is directed towards those who have refused to accept the Lord’s death as payment for their sins. Therefore they’ll have to pay the penalty themselves. This is the primary reason why the rapture of the Church has to precede all the End times judgments. Jesus will rescue us from the coming wrath (1 Thes. 1:10) because having accepted the Lord’s death as payment in full for our sins, we are not appointed to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thes. 5:9).
