Can you please provide some clarification regarding what remnant of the surviving Tribulation population will go on to repopulate the planet after the Second Coming? Will it be those who come to faith during the Tribulation and survive, will it be those who are unbelieving until Christ’s return, or will it be a combination of both? We are a little confused as to whether the surviving Tribulation believers will be residing in the New Jerusalem with the returning saints, or living on the out skirts repopulating the planet and if so, how will they be differentiated from those who did not believe until they actually see Yeshua’s appearance?
Those who become believers after the rapture of the Church and survive the Great Tribulation will go into the Kingdom on Earth in their natural states . There won’t be any believers who only become so when they see the Lord returning because it will be too late. Matt. 24:30 explains this;
“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.”
They will all mourn because they will realize that what they have heard is true and they didn’t believe it, and when they see Him coming it will be too late. We are saved by faith after all, and when they see Him coming down out of the sky it won’t take any faith to believe.
By the way, The New Jerusalem won’t actually be on Earth, because it’s far too big. Instead it will be near the Earth and will actually be earth’s source of light during the Millennium (Rev. 21:22-27). The sun will go out at the end of the Great Tribulation (Matt. 24:29).
