Beginning a house for Dinora!

After finishing the house for Arelis, we are excited to begin another house build for another widowed mom!

Note: With all the photos we share, it can get cumbersome to scroll through them, especially on mobile. So we’ve added links to show more photos in each section below. After the few photos in each section, you’ll see an arrow that says click to see more photos. You can show or hide them as you scroll through to see them!

We introduced you to Dinora when she lost her husband last year. She had a devasting year losing her mom, brother and husband in such a short time. Our group rallied around her and helped support her through that difficult time. So many of you saw similarities between how she lost her husband and how we lost Jack and prayer and support poured out for her. I am so grateful! ♥

As we were finishing up the last house we did for Arelis and were praying for what our next project should be, many of you wrote asking what else we could do for Dinora. The Lord put her on so many hearts. We knew the trailer she lives in had a bad roof so we asked to see what it needed.

Dinora’s House Before

Walking through, it was clear it needed a roof and floor and many walls were water damaged as well. Putting good material over bad will never last, so it became obvious she needed something new. The trailer wasn’t in good enough condition to repair. And so, as we begin every outreach we do, we asked the Lord to provide the funds if this was where He wanted us to work next. By just sharing what the Lord brings to us and seeing how He moves and prompts the hearts of our group here we have a good indication of what He wants us to do. There is always so much need and we can’t meet it all, and so it’s vital we seek the Lord’s will every single step.

Dinora’s young son has severe asthma, and we knew the damp was making his breathing worse.

Demo day!

As our crew began the demo, we saw the full extent of the water damage, with extensive mold all through the walls. We are so excited for her son to have a dry, mold-free home that doesn’t exacerbate his asthma!

A strong building begins with a strong foundation! Next, we will be building the walls. Please continue to pray for Dinora, her two kids, and our crew as they build her a safe home for them.

Thank you for your love, and your prayers for those we serve around the world! It’s absolutely amazing what happens when we come together and follow the Lord’s leading. I’m beyond grateful for you all!
