This week in Mexico 6-2-23

Here’s a glimpse of our week of outreaches in Mexico.

Happy Friday everyone!

Back in business making tamales!

Thanks to your generosity we helped this couple get their tamale making business going again! :raised_hands:They lost everything in one terrible night, their home and all their belongings inside including their supplies to make a living. And I’m so excited that we are able to help get them back on their feet! Here are the rest of the supplies they needed and the first batch of tamales to sell! It’s so fun to see how different regions of families make tamales. I’ve seen some who use banana tree leaves instead of corn husks to wrap and steam them. But not even Olga has seen the method they use! They make the masa more like a thick tortilla and then wrap it around the filling. It’s so interesting!
