Week in review November 16 2019

This week, we completed Jack’s study on Malachi, with Part 3 and Part 4 Our outreaches continue in Mexico and India! Continue reading to see a glimpse from our outreaches this week as well as a recap of all the posts on the site.

Scenes from our outreaches this week

This week, our volunteers visited one of the villages near our church to pray with and encourage our people there. Below, two of the people we together helped start small businesses wanted to show you how the Lord has blessed them. One began selling items in the market and along busy areas with her pushcart and the other started a stove repair service and now includes household things people need when he’s fixing their stoves! I’m so proud of them!

Our Adult Literacy Classes are on break until January, and instead, the ladies have been learning new skills and crafts!

We were able to get a jewelry making set and have begun teaching the women to make jewelry to sell! They are beyond excited to learn a new skill, and so proud to tell customers in the markets that they made these themselves! This is so exciting, and I’m praying the Lord will bless this new project and their new skills mightily!

They are so proud they’ll be able to sell these in the markets, saying they are the artisans who made them!

Scenes from our Sunday Service

This week, we were able to have all our kids from the boarding school with us! We got permission to take them all for the weekend so we can get their sizes for Christmas. The parents have asked for clothes for gifts! So we need to get their sizes.

It’s so fun when our kids from the boarding school are home! Reunited with their moms and siblings! It was hard for families when the kids chose the boarding school. It is an amazing opportunity for them, especially being the first generation in their families to ever attend school. But it also means they live apart from their families most of the year.

Both of her children are at the boarding school, so it’s very special when they’re home!

Her oldest son is at the boarding school. It’s very important when they are home to spend time with his mom and sisters.

We celebrated two birthdays this week!

Sunday School Classes and Prayer time

The kids from the boarding school showed us some of the songs they’ve learned!

We did fingerpainting with the kids.
