I have been reading your website for several weeks now and I trust your knowledge. It agrees with my spirit and with that being said I thought I would ask you about the dinosaur theory. This website says that the dinosaurs were created by God but is that true?

Prosperity Gospel

Published: October 1, 2016 (Originally published: October 7, 2006)
Q

Do you believe that the Bible preaches prosperity, what you say is what you get, claiming your inheritance, etc? I have a friend who goes to a church that teaches if we need anything, we just have to ask God. But he says we have to speak it out loud in order to get it. He claims that by speaking it out loud we can bring it into existence just like God spoke the creation into existence. Do you believe this?

Struggling With Forgiveness

Published: October 1, 2016 (Originally published: October 7, 2006)
Q

I’m a Christian, but I struggle with forgiveness. Recently, I had several co-workers and supervisors who seriously hurt me with their words and deeds. I became so bitter that I began to hate them. I knew this was wrong, therefore, I asked God to take the hate I had for them away.

Eventually, the hate began to fade, but I never could forgive them. Although I worked with them daily, I would do every thing in my power to avoid them. When I had a chance to move to another state I reasoned with myself by saying “once I relocate, I won’t have to deal with them anymore, therefore, it will be easier for me to forgive them”.

I’ve now relocated, but I’m convicted every time I think about not forgiving them when I worked with them. Does God frown on the fact that I was not strong enough to forgive them when I should have forgiven them?

Does Satan Know The Future?

Published: October 1, 2016 (Originally published: October 9, 2006)
Q

I am a Christian, have been for almost 20 years now and had a pretty dramatic conversion. God is working powerfully in my life and the lives of my family. My walk with Him is closer today than ever before and my faith is stronger than ever.

Recently in our weekly study group, the statement was made “Satan does not know the future.” This surprised me, since my experience seems to belie that. (My mother often consulted a clairvoyant who was quite accurate, and friends told me it was the work of Satan).) I have searched articles on the topic that conclude that he cannot and I think I can appreciate why the scriptures that they have used, seemingly lead them to their conclusions but I still can’t help but wonder. This is hardly a faith shattering problem but it does interest me and I would be keen to hear what you thought about it?

The Body Of Christ

Published: October 9, 2016 (Originally published: October 9, 2006)
Q

I am a rightly divided believer. I see the bible in a whole new way. Is the body of Christ in the Old Testament? How do we compare the Body of Christ with Israels Prophecy? Are we one in the same? How can someone trust Christ as their savior and ask for forgiveness if he already forgave us Eph 4:32? If true prophecy is being fulfilled then we are NOT in the Age of Grace anymore? Thank you for your time.

The Book Of Life

Published: September 29, 2016 (Originally published: October 30, 2009)
Q

I have a question regarding Revelation 3:5 and the Book of Life. My pastor recently preached this verse to say that all the names of every human being who ever lived has their name written in the Book of Life, then if they die without faith in Christ, their name is blotted out. However, when I look at this verse it speaks of not blotting out names. I have always understood that the Book of Life has only ever contained the names of the elect, and that this verse assures us that we cannot lose our salvation: if we have repented of our sin and accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then we can never lose the promise of our eternity with Christ, we can never be blotted out of the Book. Can you please clarify this for me?

Ezekiel, An Overview

Published: October 1, 2016 (Originally published: October 12, 2006)
Q

Can you briefly give an historical and prophetical perspective on the Book of Ezekiel concerning the period in Israel’s history through which he lived? God gave him many visions as well as speaking to him, and through him as frequently, if not more so, than to other Old Testament prophets.

Have I Committed Blasphemy?

Published: September 29, 2016 (Originally published: October 15, 2006)
Q

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your web site and all the wealth of wisdom and information that you teach. I can’t remember how I got to your site but I have been enjoying it since.

My question is regarding Matthew 12:31,32, and is more of a personal nature. I would like to understand it more fully because that passage has always brought on many attacks from the enemy. I was raised in a catholic background and have always believed in God and Jesus and always trusted in Him for my needs, but one day upon reading this passage I stopped to ponder on what it meant to blaspheme the Holy Spirit and in my mind came all sorts of terrible thoughts against the Holy Spirit. I thought that I committed that sin and could not get past that it would not be forgiven in this life or the next.

I know that back then(20yrs), I didn’t understand the full meaning of that passage. It still creates some uneasiness for me when I read it even though I trust The Lord for my salvation, I have a hard time forgiving myself for allowing the thoughts to have taken such a hold on me. Could you explain that passage for me so that I can move beyond the fear once and for all, and is it common for believers to think that they somehow have committed that sin. it was once explained to me that one who commits such a sin isn’t aware nor cares. Your insight and wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

The Sign Of Jonah

Published: September 29, 2016 (Originally published: October 18, 2006)
Q

When the Pharisees asked for a sign, the Lord Jesus said in Matthew:

12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Why then the scribes and Pharisees did not say anything about what the Lord said? I mean, did they understand that the Lord will die and come back after 3 days? Did they not know that Jonah died inside the belly of fish and was raised back?

The Jewish View Of Zechariah 12:10

Published: September 29, 2016 (Originally published: October 18, 2006)
Q

I have a question about Genesis 18:1. It says that three men appeared to Abraham and that he fed them. Is this the Trinity? Does God eat?

Also, in Zechariah 12:10 when it says they will look upon Him who they pierced and they will mourn, why don’t the Jews make the connection between that prophecy and Jesus? How do they explain it? Thank you for all your help.
