They Will Not Taste Death
Published: September 29, 2021I am reading the book of Mark and have a question about chapter 9. And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power. Who was Jesus talking about not tasting death?
My Grace Is Sufficient, Follow Up
Published: September 24, 2021I have been reading your updated article on healing. I hope I am mistaken in my interpretation of what you are stating with regards to healing.
The reason, I say this is that My wife and I lost our precious son (Joshua) to leukemia on August 3, 2005. He was thirteen years old. Joshua was born again and loved the Lord. our former church and pastor’s anointed Joshua with oil, prayed and fasted with him, in addition to having other Church’s affiliated with the Church do the same. Along with Our entire family and Josh.
Unfortunately, after all this including a bone marrow transplant chemo and radiation therapies, among other treatments, he went home to be with Jesus. So are you saying that none of us including Joshua, had enough faith to have the Lord heal him? Or am I missing something? Although, I know he is with the Lord, and we will see him again, we miss him terribly. We have heard all the Christian Comments, primarily from people who have never experienced burying their child. So I am very interested in all articles concerning healing. Hopefully, you will see fit to respond.
God Our Healer Follow Up
Published: September 24, 2021It certainly makes sense what you said about Isaiah 53:4-5 (in God our Healer). I have never seen anyone get healed although I do believe that all healing is Spiritual and is from God.
If he heals like you say, then why did He not heal the Apostle Paul, and why does He not heal (a well known Christian author). Why does He just heal certain people? I know He does not have favorites. I wish I knew the answer. I know you are a man of God because you have answered so many of my questions.
Partial Rapture Theories
Published: September 24, 2021I love the insight you have into Revelation you make it so clear.
I have been interested in End Times since I was first saved 33 years ago and I feel that I have a good understanding of it all BUT willing to learn more.
Now…..I have a question which has troubled me since I read it and because you may know the person who wrote it I won’t mention his name although you may be able to guess. He says that not all the Christians will be going in the rapture but only the Bride of Christ. The rest will have to face the consequences and go through the tribulation and could be martyred or lost.
Now I find this extremely worrying as my belief is that all those that are born again will go in the rapture even if they are what you would call luke warm Christians. The Bible says…’believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved’. I see that as saved from the wrath to come.
My personal interest in this is that my eldest daughter and granddaughter have given their lives to Jesus and have been water baptized but unfortunately both are married to husbands that are unsaved so they don’t go to church and after reading the article they won’t be in the rapture either but will have to face the wrath to come and I can’t see them being able to do that.
Please give me your answer to this problem I value it and would appreciate if very much.
Please Help Me
Published: September 23, 2021For a very long time now every area in my life has been touched with adversity. I’m in my mid 50’s and still waiting for a mate. I am tormented by temptation so much of the time. My financial situation has plummeted. My health also. Now I just lost my job. I am currently searching for a new church and for ministry to get involved in.
I feel very very displaced in all areas of my life. I feel like Hannah did – I’ve cried out to the Lord. I have others praying for me. I asked the Lord “show me Lord what you want me to know”. I ‘felt’ like the Lord was giving me the scripture “My Grace is sufficient for you”.
I have surrendered my life to the Lord 100% but everything upon everything is just falling apart. I just don’t understand. I feel rejected by God when I see all the people I know moving on with their lives and here I am stuck in a hole (or so it seems) for so many years. Can you help me with this?
Worthy To Escape
Published: September 23, 2021Would you be kind enough to explain Luke 21:36? I am a born again Christian depending on what Christ sacrificed on the cross for me. I do not believe I am worthy to escape what is soon to happen, except for Christ in me, He alone is worthy. I am confused as to why it states in Luke 21:36 to pray always that I may be worthy to escape.
Living In God’s Strength
Published: September 22, 2021Would you please explain exactly what it means to live our lives in God’s strength? If everything at the Bema Seat Judgment is burned up as if it never existed if it was done in human strength, and only actions done in His strength are recognized, how far do you take this? After all, we awake every morning and arise in His strength. If it wasn’t for God, we would stop breathing! What exactly does in His strength mean on a practical level?
Purifying The Church By Fire?
Published: September 21, 2021I appreciate your site so much. I have a friend who keeps telling me Christians are going to go through The Great Tribulation, because it is the “cleansing fire” we must go through to “purify” for our redemption when Christ comes back. I have been a Pre-Trib Rapture believer since my conversion many years ago. Can you help me here? Thank you so very much.
Symbolic Use Of Numbers In The Bible
Published: September 21, 2021Although I notice how often numbers are used in the bible, I can’t say I really understand the significance of them – so have some more work to do to grasp their meaning and what they are communicating.
In a reading of Mark 6:30-44, 8:1-21, it looks like Christ is using the number 12 to designate Israel in the feeding of the 5000 and the number 7 to designate Gentiles in the feeding of the 4000. Can you elaborate a bit on why there are 12 baskets left over for the Jews and why there are 7 baskets left over for the Gentiles? Do the numbers 5000 and 4000 have any significance in understanding this scripture? Do they 5 loaves and 2 fishes versus 7 loaves have significance as well?
Strength In Weakness
Published: September 20, 2021Re. 2 Corinthians 12:9: I have a question about this verse, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Then Paul says “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” What does “weakness” mean in these verses? I know that Paul wrote them in the context of his persecution and hardships, but what does that mean in a Christian’s everyday life who -thanks to God- doesn’t have to endure persecution? What are our weaknesses in our everyday “ordinary” Christian life? What count as weakness? Could they be our limited abilities which can be mental, emotional and physical? Plus our struggle with our sinful nature and our sins?
