Will God Call My Half-Sister To Israel?

Published: February 18, 2015
Q

I read your web site with great interest. Thanks for the time you spend in keeping it current. My question regards my half sister who is married to a Jewish man. I did not meet her until I was 22. She is not born again, nor is her husband. She has made it very clear that she does not want to hear about my “religion”. Seems I offended her with a religious Christmas card one year even though she and her family celebrate “all the holidays”, meaning the secular form of Christmas and also Hanukkah. So I honor that by not bringing it up whenever I communicate with her. They have three children, two girls and a boy.

What I am wondering is if when God calls the Jews back to Israel, do you think its possible that this will include their family? I pray for their salvation on occasion, but it would be interesting to see if this is the method God will use to save them (if they are going to be saved). I think it would be exciting if her husband was called to be one of the 144,000.

Does Israel Have To Be A Nation?

Q

Great site you have. I have a question? Where in the bible does it refer to Israel and the generation which sees it become a state again being the generation to see the end times. In Matthew (Olivet Disclosure) I don’t see a connection with Israel becoming a nation again.

The Days Of Noah

Q

I was talking to a minister friend of mine, who believes that times are going to get rough for us Christians prior to the rapture. He doesn’t believe we’ll go thru any of the tribulation, but just that things will get rough. He also mentioned about the end times being like the days of Noah, that Noah preached for 120 years while building the ark, and suggested that we should add 120 years to 1948 for the timing of the 2nd Coming to be consistent the Lord’s prophecy in Matt. 24:37. What do you think?

Confident Or Careless?

Q

I have seen other commentators use “confidently” in their interpretation of Ezek. 38:11 where you use “carelessly”. They say the word is meant to imply they’re confident in their ability to repel any attack, not that they have their guard down. What do you think of that interpretation?

What Is Idolatry?

Published: February 17, 2015
Q

I have two questions. What is idolatry exactly? Is it just greed? Also, in 2 Timothy 4:3,” For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” What would these teachers be telling them?

The Resurrection of Tribulation Saints

Published: February 15, 2015
Q

My question is in regards to the tribulation saints. I believe that when Jesus come in the rapture, we and all others who died in Christ will get perfected bodies. The ones that died will be resurrected right? If so, does this mean that there will be a second resurrection for the tribulation believers who die? Thank you for your help.

More On The Holy Spirit

Published: February 15, 2015
Q

I really enjoy your website, thanks for all the work you do. Here is my question. In Psalms 51:11 David says” Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me”. First off, I thought believers were not given the Holy Spirit until after Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. My next question is why did he pray “take not thy Holy Spirit from me”? It sounds to me as if the Holy Spirit could be taken back. Any insight into this scripture would be appreciated. Thank you!

God’s Extremes

Published: February 15, 2015
Q

Scripture says that humans who do not conform to God’s salvation plan (i.e. unbelievers) are consigned to incredibly terrible torment in hell for all of eternity. For unbelievers to be separated from God for eternity is totally understandable, but the extreme punishment of hell does not seem to fit.

Let’s take into account: (1) the sinful condition (natural-born inclination) of all humans is inherited, and (2) no one can come to Jesus (believing in Him for salvation) unless Father God draws the person (John 6 and John 17). How could a loving God who teaches us to be loving, merciful, compassionate, forgiving, etc. send humans to such an extreme place of torment forever? Is this consistent with God’s nature?

Did Paul Write Paul’s Epistles?

Published: February 15, 2015
Q

My sister’s church is having a Bible study and the instructor has told them every seminary and those who attend them know that Paul didn’t write all the epistles in the New Testament, that one was even written several years after his death, I know there are attempts all the time to try to discredit the Bible but I was caught off guard with this teaching.

Ezekiel 38 And Rev. 20. The Same Or Different?

Published: February 15, 2015
Q

How come the battle of Gog and Magog in Rev. 20 is not mentioned as any of the major prophetic events in the road map to eternity. Whenever we hear the battle of Gog Magog it usually pertains to EZE 38 and 39. I would appreciate if you can please shed some light into why the Bible describes the battle in Rev 20 with the same name of the battle in Ezekiel.
