The Boomers And The Lord

Published: December 1, 2010 (Originally published: November 30, 2010)
Q

My question is do you think that the so-called “Boomer” or post WWII generation is the one Jesus said would not pass away until the End Times was concluded? They were the ones being born when Israel became a state again. And now we’re starting to see the first ones reach retirement age. Maybe I’m way off, but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

Q

My son asked us if we could ask God any question what would it be. He said he would ask if he loved all of us so much, why did he choose the Jewish people as his chosen people. Why them?

Overcomers In Ephesus

Published: December 2, 2010 (Originally published: December 1, 2010)
Q

I hope you can help me. My Pastor spoke on Rev. 2: 5. “Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.” Then he made the comment this is for you who believe in once saved always saved – your salvation can be revoked. I approached him about this and said I totally disagree.

My pastor is really open and expressed the opportunity to talk more with me about backing up this with scripture. I read your studies often and in total agreement with your thourghts about once saved always saved but what can I say to him? What does Rev. 2 verse 5 really mean?

Faith Based On A Feeling

Published: November 27, 2013 (Originally published: December 1, 2010)
Q

I was recently discussing faith with a family member of mine who is of another religion. She said if she ever has a question or doubt about her religion she simply asks the Lord and knows that she’s doing right because of the “good feeling” she gets in return. I don’t see how God would encourage someone to continue in any religion by sending “good feelings” their way. Are feelings good signs that our belief is correct?

Between The 2nd Coming And The Millennium

Published: December 3, 2010 (Originally published: December 2, 2010)
Q

I read an article by a respected end times scholar that the Sheep and Goat judgment is for Gentiles. I assume that must be because of the questions asked by Jesus as to what they did or did not do for His brethren, Christ considered was done unto Him. That seems a bit like “good deeds” added to faith? But my main question is since the believing remnant flees to Petra, do we assume all that didn’t flee did not become believers but perished?

A Question About Ezekiel’s Battle

Published: December 3, 2010 (Originally published: December 2, 2010)
Q

I am a first semester seminary student. I was wondering if the current Israel is the Israel that will face the great attack mentioned in Ezekiel 37-39, or will this attack come on an Israel who knows and is walking with God at a later time in history? Could this event take place hundreds or more years from now? My understanding is that the current Israel is mostly atheist in belief, although some do know God personally. Does this event depend on Israel’s spiritual relationship with God?

Where Is Satan?

Published: December 3, 2010 (Originally published: December 2, 2010)
Q

I had a discussion with a non believer today and he said he believes Satan is on the earth today having been cast to earth when he rebelled. I tried to explain that Satan will be cast to earth at the beginning of the great tribulation but was unable to explain why I thought he abides in the heavenly realm right now and is not permanently present on earth . Can you give me an easy explanation for this?

Dating The Lord’s Birth

I was reading an article about the star that lead to Bethlehem. This article claimed Jesus was born around 7 to 5 B.C or around that time. I always thought

Is North Korea Mentioned In Prophecy?

Published: April 16, 2014 (Originally published: November 22, 2010)
Q

A recent news headline has reported that “In secret and with remarkable speed, North Korea has built a new, highly sophisticated facility to enrich uranium, raising fears that the North is ramping up its atomic program.” Since they are not in the list of nations specifically mentioned in either Psalm 83 or Ezekiel 38-39, how does North Korea fit into end times prophecy (as an individual nation) or do they?

Scans And Pat Downs

Published: November 27, 2010 (Originally published: November 26, 2010)
Q

Praise to God & blessings to you & your family. I have a concern about the new scanning technology and “Pat Downs” at the airports. Since the scans, in essence, show a naked body & the “Pat Downs” are so intrusive, are we committing a sin when we submit to them? I understand our only other option is to travel via ground transportation or stay home.
