More On The Age Of Accountability

Published: November 28, 2010 (Originally published: November 27, 2010)
Q

In the article The Age of Accountability you wrote: “When they reach the age of accountability, they become responsible for their sins. They acknowledge their accountability in a ceremony called bat mitzvah for girls, usually held at age 12, and bar mitzvah for boys age 13.” Does this mean that when believers in Jesus are raptured, all girls under the age of 12 and all boys under the age of 13 will also be raptured? If so, can you imagine the impact on families worldwide?

OSAS And Rev. 22:19

Published: November 28, 2010 (Originally published: November 27, 2010)
Q

I was having a discussion with a friend about eternal security, we seemed to be in agreement for the most part. However, he presented me with a scripture that I would like some help understanding the meaning, “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Rev 22:19). Please assist me with some insight as to whether this scripture is saying that you can lose your salvation.

Will Jerusalem Be Divided Again?

Published: December 31, 2013 (Originally published: November 28, 2010)
Q

There is so much talk about scattering Israel and dividing Jerusalem these days. Also much talk about the Psalm 83 prophecy which talks about a confederation of the surrounding Arab and Palestinian nations coming against Israel and being completely defeated by the IDF. At the same time I read in Zechariah 1: 18 / 19 about four horns coming to scatter Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. There seems to be a contradiction between this Scripture and Psalm 83. I know there cannot be any contradiction in Holy Scripture, that is impossible. How do you see things? Can you help please?

One World Currency In 2024?

Published: November 15, 2010 (Originally published: November 14, 2010)
Q

Please comment on “the plan” for a one world currency by the year 2024 and how this time-frame fits your interpretation of the timing of the Second Coming. I believe that the Rapture is imminent, and that there could be a gap of several years between the Rapture and Daniel’s 70th Week. Do you agree? Thanks for your website – it is truly a blessing!

I subscribe to your site and find it very informative and encouraging. Have you posted anything to explain the full meaning of Rev 7:14 where it says, “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. “

Departure Or Apostasy?

Published: November 18, 2010 (Originally published: November 17, 2010)
Q

As always thanks so much for your great site. I have a question regarding the word apostasia found in 2 Thes 2:3. I have recently seen several commentaries that state that the word was used 15 times in the NT and only 3 times actually meaning apostasy, and that prior to the King James version the commentaries stated the word meant departure and not apostasy. Does this in fact say that the day will not come for the son of perdition except that we will be departed (raptured) or is it referring to the apostasy?

Get Married Or Move Out

Published: September 1, 2014 (Originally published: November 18, 2010)
Q

My younger sister, who loves the Lord, has allowed her youngest son (21) & his girlfriend to live together in her house for years. Now she says God is telling her to stop it. She asked me what to do. I told her that if she is hearing from God, she’d better obey. My sister is afraid to “cut the apron strings” because her son is on her medical insurance and he can’t afford a place of his own. What do you think?

Praying To Mary

Published: November 20, 2010 (Originally published: November 19, 2010)
Q

Thank you for your ministry! I continue to learn so much from your site. The bible teaches that we are to pray for one another. Many Catholics will pray to Mary to intercede on their behalf to Jesus. How is this different from asking ones own mother to pray for you? I understand that it is a sin to deify anything or anyone, but isn’t a prayer to Mary asking her to pray for you the same as asking your Pastor or friends to pray for you. Shouldn’t it be even more effective since you are asking the Lord’s own mother to intercede on your behalf? I look forward to your teaching on this.
