Re: “More On The Millennial Believers”. Could it be that writing the third testament will be one of the things that the church will do from the New Jerusalem? People are always asking and speculating on what the church’s purpose will be after the rapture and bema seat. Maybe some will be assigned to write another testament. I can hardly wait to see what it is that he has in store for us.
Lots of believers have asked what we’ll be doing in the Millennium. Our natural human tendency is to want to feel productive and to have important work to do. I often remind them that we’re part of the royal family, and typically “royals” don’t work. Beyond saying that we’ll be kings and priests, the Bible doesn’t offer any details about our day-to-day activities.
As for the possibility of writing a third testament to guide millennial believers the way the New Testament guides the Church, that’s just speculation on my part. I’ve never heard anyone else suggest it.
The Lord picked Jewish believers to write the New Testament because they experienced both covenants in their natural states. If a third testament is written, it seems more likely that He would pick surviving tribulation believers to write it for the same reason. As resurrected beings without a sin nature, it could be as difficult for us to relate to millennial believers as it might have been for the holy people who came out of their graves at the time of the crucifixion (Matt. 27:52-53) to relate to us.
