Can I Attend A Post Trib Church?

Q

I recently found a church which I really like due to the fact that they they follow the bible. They live life deep in the Lord. The only thing I don’t understand is that they believe in the rapture after the tribulation. How does the Lord take this kind of belief? Is it sin or just understanding it in different way? Is it okay for me to attend this church?

A

The Bible only teaches one rapture position and it’s pre-trib. Every other view has come from a misunderstanding of God’s Word. Rapture passages are either misinterpreted, allegorized, taken out of context, or ignored altogether.

All born again believers will go in the rapture no matter when they believe it will happen. The problem is what they do in the meantime, because our view of end times prophecy will influence our entire world view. For example some people who believe the Church will be here throughout the last 7 years may focus on hoarding food and other supplies for them selves, not realizing they’re missing their last chance to express their gratitude to God by being generous to those in need. Others may not see any need for Israel to exist in today’s world because they believe the Church has replaced Israel.

I know how hard it is to find a good Church, so I wouldn’t presume to advise you on staying there or not. I guess a lot would depend on the extent to which you feel their rapture view influences the rest of their program.
