I have a question about the battle of Gog and Magog described in Ezekiel 38. Why does everyone believe that this battle must occur before the Great Tribulation, when Revelation 20:7-9 clearly places it after the thousand years.

Even though the names Gog and Magog appear in both Ezekiel 38 and Rev 20, a look at the outcomes make it clear that they’re talking about 2 different events. Besides, the prophecies of Ezekiel are chronological and therefore the Battle of chapters 38-39 will take place before the Millennium, that begins in chapter 40.
