Hard Times Coming?

Q

A lot of “rapture” websites and a number of seemingly knowledgeable people are predicting we will have a very rough time of it before the rapture takes place. Famines, severe money and banking problems, stuff like that. They are warning that we had better prepare and get ready because it’s about to fall on us.

My question is what will our state of affairs be like during this time? In my opinion the Bible indicates that stuff will be or at least perceived to be quite “normal” then we will be raptured. Others are saying to head for the hills and find a cave. What do you think?

A

Many people think the hard times have already begun and government efforts to stave them off are only delaying the inevitable. I think there’s a better than even chance that they’re right. After the election, things could get a lot different fast. So if the rapture doesn’t come soon, those who are living beyond their means could have a pretty serious struggle on their hands.

The only thing the Bible tells us is the rapture will come without warning. This will be a time for faith, because Jesus said not to worry about what we’ll eat or drink or wear, but to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to us as well (Matt. 6:31-33).
