Hi Jack,
Recently my pastor preached a sermon on faith where he said believers sometimes have faith in their head rather than their heart. He cited purgatory, the rapture and other beliefs that may stunt a believer’s faith. I consider myself to be a seasoned believer and I am having a difficult time with the head/heart distinction as it pertains to faith. Can you help me with that? Thank You so much for your ministry.
It’s impossible for a born again believer to have head rather than heart faith. So he has to be making a distinction between those who are true believers and those who are believers in name only. If he is, then he is correct. There are many people who call themselves Christians who don’t really have Jesus in their hearts. In other words they are not born again.
