Since the rapture is number (completion of church) dependent and not date dependent could it happen that we might find ourselves into the tribulation because the number has not been yet fulfilled?

If all you had to go on was the number issue you might have a point. But Romans 11:25 and Acts 15:13-18 also imply the Church will have to be gone before the 70th Week of Daniel can begin. Rev. 3:10 says the Church will leave before the hour of trial begins and 1 Thes. 1:10 says we’ll be rescued out of the time and place of the coming wrath, which will have begun in Rev. 6. Taken together there’s ample evidence to support the belief that the Church will reach its full number before Daniel’s 70 the Week begins.
