Martyrs And Saints

Q

Scripture tell us that man is appointed once to die and then judgment. The Bema seat is for the Bride and the great white throne is for all those whose names are not found in the Book of Life. When do the tribulation martyrs/ saints receive their judgment and also the old testament saints?

A

The Bema judgment is more like an awards ceremony and will take place after the rapture / resurrection so there won’t be any salvation related consequences (1 Cor. 3:10-15).

Tribulation martyrs will be resurrected at the time of the 2nd coming (Rev. 20:4).

I believe Old Testaments will be resurrected at the same time as Tribulation martyrs. Daniel 12:1-3 mentions their resurrection in the context of the Great Tribulation, but I can’t see it happening until the end of that terrible time. I don’t think it would make sense to have them running around while Earth is experiencing the most serious time of judgment ever.

These events will bring the first resurrection to a close.

There’s no mention of anything like the Bema judgment taking place for either Tribulation martyrs or Old Testament saints, only for the Church.
