Millennial Life On Earth

Q

I know that the raptured Saints will live in the New Jerusalem with glorified bodies during the millennium. My question concerns the tribulation Saints living on earth during the millennium in their natural bodies. Will persons entering the millennium with some sort of handicap enter with conditions such as missing limbs or mental disabilities? We read where there will be no more sadness, crying, or suffering during this 1,000 years. Will these people be changed or will live on earth during the millennium, after having gone through 7 years of Tribulation, make them more than happy? What is your opinion on this subject?

A

The description of the 1000 years as a time with no more death or mourning or crying or pain because the old order of things has passed away is given in the context of the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:1-4). For a glimpse of the Millennium on Earth, we turn first to the Old Testament where we see there will be daily offerings for sin (Ezek. 46:13-15), people still dying (Isaiah 65:20), and finally open rebellion against God (Rev. 20:7-9).

Tribulation survivors will enter the Millennium in their natural state with physical, mental, and spiritual imperfections that include a sin nature, and because of this, the Millennium will progressively degenerate into conditions similar to what we’re experiencing today.
