More On Healing Amputees

Q

Re: Healing Amputees. So basically what you are saying is that when we pray to be healed and we are not then it’s because we didn’t have enough faith?

A

Once we’ve asked for forgiveness of our sins and forgiven those who have sinned against us, thereby putting ourselves back in fellowship with God (1 John 1:9) our faith is the only conditional factor in the Lord’s promise that anything is possible for us.

In Matt.21:21-22, after his disciples expressed their amazement that a fig tree Jesus had cursed was withered. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

In Mark 9:23 a distraught father asked Jesus if He could do anything to help his epileptic son, and Jesus replied, “Everything is possible for him who believes.”

In Luke 8:50 Jairus had just been told that his daughter was dead and to leave Jesus alone. Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

These are three separate instances where Jesus asked people to believe the impossible and expect it to happen.

So it’s not me saying this, it’s the Lord.
