I just read one of your replies to a questioner as to whether the Bible mandates church attendance. How does your reply to this question fit in with Hebrews 10:25?
Hebrews 10:25 says, Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
It does not make Church attendance mandatory. This idea was popularized by the Puritans who apparently made it one of the conditions for salvation.
While regular attendance in a Bible believing church has obvious benefits, there are other ways for believers to meet together for the purpose of encouraging each other, as the writer admonished us. Small groups, Bible studies, Prayer meetings, Christian retreats and Christian social gatherings are some examples of ways to fulfill Hebrews 10:25.
