More on Trusting God

Q

Jesus said that we should not worry about what we will eat, drink or wear, but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to us. (Matt 6:31-33) But when we repeatedly must use credit cards to pay for groceries because the entire paycheck goes towards monthly bills, and the credit cards are hitting the maximum limit, how can we not worry about what we will eat, drink or wear once the card limits are hit?

A

Are you saying that your pay check and your credit cards are the only ways God can provide for your family? Do you not believe He has means above and beyond your capabilities?

Remember, He will let you live in your own strength as long as you insist on doing so, but once you sincerely turn your life over to Him you won’t have to worry about these things any longer.

I believe it was Mark Twain who said, “The only time experience is the best teacher is when it was someone else’s experience.”

I had to lose everything before I could learn to trust Him, but once I did I was able to stop worrying about things, and have never gone without. Since then I’ve been trying to convince people to learn to trust Him so that by the grace of God they won’t have to go through what I went through.
