I’d like to know for sure if the Saints/Saved/Redeemed Children of God are higher than angels and what are some scriptures (if any) that indicate that we are and have authority over Angels. Thank you!
In 1 Cor. 6:3 Paul reminded us that one day we will judge angels. How much more the things of this life! He was making the point that believers should come to the Church to settle disputes among themselves rather than take each other to the pagan courts.
In Ephes. 1:20-21 he said when the Lord was resurrected He was seated at the right hand of the Father far above all all authority, power, and dominion (angelic ranks). In Ephes. 2:6 he said God has raised us up and seated us with Jesus in the heavenly realms. That means after the resurrection/rapture we’ll be elevated above the angels.
And in Hebrews 1:14 the writer said angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.
To me these three references show the redeemed Children of God will have a greater authority than the angels. We’ll have to wait and see if that puts us in the chain of command with the right to order angels around.
