Could you address the recent speculation and discussion regarding claims the rapture will occur on September 23, 2015? And also how or if it correlates with a pre-trib rapture? As much as I’d love to believe in this, I know only God knows the date. I appreciate your reading and response. Thank you!
Romans 11:25 says, “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.”
According to my understanding, the phrase “full number” in the above passage indicates that there is a set number for believers in the church. And when that number is reached, the church will “come in” to it’s destination. According to John 14:2-3 our destination is “my Father’s house.”
This means the rapture won’t happen on a preordained date, but when a preordained number is reached. Therefore, no one can know in advance the day on which the rapture will take place.
