According to Rev. 8:1-6 opening the seventh seal releases the seven trumpet judgments and according to Rev. 11:15 sounding the seventh trumpet leads to the seven bowls. In other words, they’re all tied together. Can’t we therefore assume that this whole period is the Wrath of God ?

Yes I believe that’s correct. I think Rev. 6:17, which reads, “For the great day of their (literally His) wrath has come and who can stand?” is proof that the wrath of God begins with the Seal judgments. The verse doesn’t read “is coming” but “has come.” It’s in the past perfect tense, which makes it an accomplished fact.
