In one of your recent answers, you stated that you believe that Israel would be burning the weapons from Ezekiel’s war during the seven years of the tribulation. What throws me off is the fact that for the last three and a half years of the tribulation, Israel will be on the run from the Anti-Christ. So how can they be burning weapons while they are on the run? Isn’t it a possibility that Ezekiel’s war will end at least three and a half years, and maybe more, before the start of the tribulation?
Today, most of the inhabitants of Israel are not believers, and even after the Battle of Ezekiel 38 only a remnant will become believers in Jesus. they’re the ones who will flee the anti-Christ at the start of the Great Tribulation. The rest of Israel will only recognize Jesus as their Messiah near the end of the Great Tribulation (Zech. 12:10). In the mean time they will accept the anti-Christ as their Messiah and will have nothing to fear from Him. They’re the ones who will need fuel for energy for all of the last seven years.
Isaiah said that in the last days Israel would make a covenant with death in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid God’s judgment (Isaiah 28:14-15). This refers to the seven year covenant the anti-Christ will make with Israel (Daniel 9:27). And Jesus said, “I have come in my Father’s name and you did not accept me. Another will come in his own name and you will accept him” (John 5:43). He was also speaking of the anti-Christ.
