I’ve read your studies on the two witnesses of Revelation 11, and you have really good points. Whether it is Enoch and Elijah, or Moses and Elijah, perhaps the exact identity of them is not as important as that there are two witnesses. Nevertheless, I was wondering if there was someone in the New Testament with the spirit of Enoch or Moses, just as John the Baptist had the spirit of Elijah? And if so what could we learn from this?
The only person in the New testament who was associated with any of the popular Old Testament witness candidates was John the Baptist who the angel Gabriel said would minister in the spirit and power of Elijah (Luke 1:17). But since the primary role of the witnesses is to bring Israel to the Messiah it seems more likely that the Lord will use respected Old Testament figures rather than people from New Testament times.
