In your question titled “Three In One” where someone asked if there was a verse that said the Father, Son, and Spirit are one, what about 1 John 5:7?
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
I didn’t use that verse because of the controversy surrounding it. The wording you’ve quoted does not appear in any Greek manuscript or New Testament translation prior to the 16th Century. And today, only the King James has it. The earliest and most reliable manuscripts say, “For there are three that testify, the Spirit, the water, and the blood and the three are in agreement.” This also fits with the flow and the context of preceding verses. It appears in the King James as verse 8.
