Q
Could you please explain what you know both scripturally and any personal revelation that you may have regarding the creation of man on the sixth day in Genesis 1:26-28 and the forming of Adam on the seventh day in Genesis 2:7?
A
Genesis 2:7 does not say Adam was created on the 7th day. Genesis 2:1-3 really belong in chapter 1 and are the conclusion of God’s account of the creation. Genesis 1:27-31 clearly say Adam was created on Day 6. Chapter breaks were added by men in the 13th Century AD and are often in the wrong place. (Verses were numbered about 300 years later.) Genesis 2 is not a continuation of Genesis 1 but is the beginning of Adam’s account and starts in Genesis 2:4 at the time of his creation.
