This week in India 11-15-24
I have such a fun update for you this week! We have a new tribe to share with you—fruit from seeds planted during our Spring VBS outreach.

New village!
It’s always exciting when we get to see the fruit of seeds planted. Here is a tribe our kids invited to our Spring VBS outreach. We’ve kept in touch, making sure they know they are loved and have groceries. They are so intrigued by our kids and volunteers who have shown them so much kindness and so much love, and it makes them ask why. Why are they so loving? And why are they the recipients of this love when they are strangers? This is John 13:35. They will know we are disciples of Jesus by our love.
I’m reminded of our dear Parvathi, who felt the love of Jesus through our volunteers and said one day that she loves this Jesus who loves her (which is 1 John 4:19 in action!)
This amazing widowed mom who had experienced so much heartache and struggle in her life was amazed at God’s kindness to her through His people. I’m so grateful and so proud of our volunteers who show His love so faithfully to others—especially to the least in society.
After all these months, the neighbors of this tribe offered us their home to meet with them! Somewhere warm, clean, and dry. We have always prayed for our neighbors in each area we serve here. The society at large can be quite hostel to those at the bottom. They often resent them for progressing out of extreme poverty. And here we see the fruit of prayers prayed for years, for people we hadn’t even met yet, being answered in such a beautiful way!
Continue to pray with us for this tribe! For their safety and protection, for provision, and for the seeds of love planted in their hearts to continue growing and maturing.
Glasses for Laxmi’s mom, Roopa!
We are so blessed to be able to provide such vital healthcare to the families we serve. The moms in this village are the first in their families to learn to read after completing our literacy classes. If you can’t read, it’s far less obvious when your vision needs to be corrected. Needing glasses may be a bit of an annoyance, but having them is also a privilege many do not have. And knowing you need them is a result/need of literacy. So Roopa tells us what a blessing both things are to her. You can see more of her here.
School classes
Prayer house village
After flooding, stagnant water is always our concern. We must take precautions against typhoid and other contagions while drying everything out from the flooding. But we are so grateful to have everyone back from evacuation!

Christmas cards!
Tis the season! Our kids are having so much fun making Christmas Cards!
Our Sunday School class
And that’s our week! We continue to pray for the rescue of the prayer house village from all that opposes them. Thank you so much for praying with us!
