This week in Mexico 11-21-20
Our week in Mexico! School classes and bringing food to those in need. Many of you have asked for ways to help these kids more directly for Christmas, to be given the info on a child in need and be able to shop for them directly. If you’d like to get involved in this, email me directly and we’ll get it organized before Christmas! We’d need all gifts to arrive at our mail service in California by mid-December for me to get them across the border in time!

School Classes
This week, after academics, we made Christmas crafts! With so many out of work, and many shops closed, the kids were telling us that they won’t be able to have a Christmas tree this year. Some told us they’ve never had one. So we came up with an idea, and we’re making personal trees together! The kids picked branches, and we found various pots for them. We spray painted the branches, unless the kids wanted them natural, and made ornaments for them. Now each kid has a little tree for their homes!
Food distribution
Our order was delayed several times this month because of the pandemic, but we finally got it!
I love that our kids ask to help us with food distribution! They love to come and help us pack up groceries into bags for each family. This week we packed bags for all the families of Haitian refugees we serve.
Do you remember when we had our garden? For a while, we were able to grow food for a whole community! We are right now praying and planning for the ability to do it again! The kids loved helping in the garden then too. Here’s one post to remember, and another! The land we were given to use worked so well until we had a proper rainy season! Then nothing we did could keep it from flooding and wiping out the plants. So we’re going to begin again, another way in another place! Thank you for coming alongside us in prayer!
My goodness, how I love these little ones!
Love them!
Again, if you want to get a gift for one of the kids we serve, email me directly and we’ll get it organized. You’d need to be able to have the gifts to arrive at our mail service in California by mid-December for me to get them across the border in time! ♥
