This week in Mexico 2-13-26

Here’s a glimpse of our week of outreaches in Mexico.

Happy Friday, GTF fam! ♥

Last time, I shared about little Nathan, who just had foot surgery. He had the stitches removed yesterday and is healing well. He might even be healed up enough to get around easier by the time his new baby sister arrives! His mom, Erica, is at the doctor right now, and they’ll decide today when it’s safe to deliver the baby. So she should know today.  Thank you so much for praying with us for the health of both mom and baby! ♥

Our escuelita

In preparation for St Valentine’s Day, with its focus on friendship here, our kids have been making Valentine’s crafts. And for the first time, we’re doing secret Valentines! Like secret Santa, the kids have drawn names for their Valentine mejor amigo, (best friend), and they’re making a valentine for that person. On Valentine’s Day, they’ll reveal who they have and give their valentines. They are all very excited!

Escueltia at the park

We’ve had wild pressure swings, with hot, dry wind and then some rain, but in between some really nice days. We love to bring the kids to the park when the weather is nice enough, so they can run and run and get tuckered out for their moms later.

Our Project House – Jaime and Vanessa

I always get excited when we’re getting close to a roof pour! Given the unpredictable weather, we’re trying to time it so the form wood isn’t damaged by rain. Because it’s needed for a short amount of time, the community shares their boards and passes them around to anyone in need. It’s such a cool part of the communities here. With all this borrowed wood, we want to keep it in very good condition.  (You can see more about the beginning of this project – along with the wrap up to Israel’s, here)

God is doing amazing things here, and I’m so grateful for your prayers and support that make it possible. Thank you so much for praying with us for those we serve together! ♥
