Update on Jaqui
Tomorrow evening, the 14th, she’ll be admitted to the hospital for all the pre-op tests before her surgery on Wednesday. (you can catch up on last week’s post here.) Her mom is coming! Thank you so much for praying with us for her healing, for her whole medical team, for their family, and for peace for her through this. Jaqui asked me to thank each one of you and make sure I express how deep her gratitude is and how much she feels held by the love in this group. She said she is afraid, but she knows Jesus will be with her through the valley ahead. ♥
Groceries delivered!
We got the next round of food for families in need this week! Along with all of you, we’ve been hit by rising food prices. But on the bright side, it’s such a blessing that the store will deliver to us! We used to go with a group of people and a group of carts and spend two entire days loading up everything (we do food distribution in two batches because we don’t have the space to put all the food at once!). This is so much better!
Escuelita —Our kids group
We’ve been working with the uniform stores to be able to help the kids who need help with uniforms for school in two weeks! The official start of the new school year is August 29. Does it feel like their summer break just began to anyone else?
And we’re trying to help the kids enjoy their last two weeks before school starts!
